"Perhaps he does...I don't know what the man sees in me, but I always knew you westerners were strange..."

Elise raises an eyebrow, "I hope my friendship isn't classified in that way" she says in a tone the assures that she's joking

"Your friendship was born of camaraderie, and I can understand it, but not so much his. He just popped up and insisted that I helped him when it was really Troi and Oirhandir--isn't that unusual, insisting that someone helped you when it was actually someone else?"

"They helped him deal with a crooked merchant who was trying to take away his musical instrument by ripping up his receipt into tatters. So Oirhandir used magic to make the receipt come together again, and then Troi sniffed the ink to prove that it was authentic. I was there, but there was nothing I could do to help, so I did nothing."

"Yes, unusual. So, there is no other reason for him to become infatuated with you? I'm sure he didn't notice your mind, body or soul." Elise says with a hint of sarcasm

"Looks like he's seen past actions and found much he likes about you."

"Seen past actions? Do you think that is what it is? I never noticed him watching me in the past, but I suppose that might make sense, since otherwise it doesn't make any sense how he was so insistent right from the beginning..."

"I meant he judging you from more than just actions. First he would have seen your beautiful, sparking his interest. Then he would have had a chance to speak with you, from your words he might have divined that you really were a great person. Someone he'd like to know better and spend time with"

"Of course I wasn't there, but that seems like the most proble thing"
