Fields of Blood: The Book of War sold out

Our sales team just informed us we just shipped the last copies of Fields of Blood: The Book of War to distribution. The book was met with rave reviews. We are very pleased with the final product and it's performance. It has definitely exceeded our expectations.

We are now talking with our printer about a second printing, more information on this next week.

We would like to thank the customers, retailers and distributors for their continued support.

W00t!

Given the number of times I woke up at 2 AM in a cold sweat over this....

That's good. Now make second printing in hardcover.

Seconded. When Dream Pod 9 sent me the Mecha Compendium, I was very pleased that they went with a Deluxe Hardcover Edition that added a lot of rules, ideas, and other utility to the already strong product.

Hope this book either follows that pattern of comes out with a companion.

Well, DP9 did it when GOO finally ... FINALLY! ... released the d20 Mecha ruleset that DP9's MC material is based on.

As a bonus, the hardcover also contains the ruleset, thanks to GOO's effort to release their own SRD, I believe the first third-party company to do that.

Let's hope that the unexpected sellout would prompt them to order hardcover with additional material (such as non-landed power bases and their influences) in a deluxe edition, not to mentioned using square grid on a political map. For that, I'd gladly pay $35-$40, even if there is no color illustrations inside and the page material are matte (not gloss).

From one who paid $40 (CAN) for the softcover just three days ago, how's about they don't add anything to the second printing. Or if they do add material, make it available as a PDF (either free a la Mongoose or for a small fee on RPGNow). I'd hate to be penalized for being one of the people who helped them sell out the first printing by having to pay full shot (and more besides for hardcover) for a second printing so soon after the first if I want to have the full rules set. I mean, look at all the flak WotC gets for 3.5, and they waited three years.
