Fields of Blood: The Book of War sold out

Uh...

Sorry, but if all of the copies from the first printing are sold out and there is still a demand for the product, they need to order a second printing.

3.5e is not second printing. In fact, the original 3e Player's Handbook have already undergone at least first and second printing runs to meet the consumers' demand.

I would also welcome seeing a hardcover version of this book. I believe it was originally solicited as a hardcover and then got changed somewhere during production.

Perhaps I was unclear. I was referring to the expressed hope that the quick sellout of the first printing would lead to some sort of deluxe hardcover with materials not in the current version. Obviously a second printing of the current version (or a hardcover with the same content as the softcover) is not comparable to 3.5e, a new version that modified the content (as some above seem to be advocating) would be comparable.

That's why I advocate a companion volume instead of a "deluxe version" of this one. I would love to see solid rules in the same framework for non-landed power bases, as well as opposing religions, trade houses, and mageguilds (a la Birthright), but I don't feel like shelling out $40-$45 US for a book I already have most of. A second book, with such offered as variants, is far more palatable.

Is there any errata for FoB yet?

Eg: Desecrate mentions that clerics don't get bonuses against undead units. Where's the rule that states that clerics normally get bonuses against undead in the first place?

Geoff.

From one who paid $40 (CAN) for the softcover just three days ago, how's about they don't add anything to the second printing. Or if they do add material, make it available as a PDF (either free a la Mongoose or for a small fee on RPGNow). I'd hate to be penalized for being one of the people who helped them sell out the first printing by having to pay full shot (and more besides for hardcover) for a second printing so soon after the first if I want to have the full rules set.
No kidding. Having a product that you just bought released shortly after in some "expanded hardcover" edition is bogus. Not particularly helpful to those who bought the book in the first place. I avoid companies who do this.
