i have to agree, competely, that death slaadi should have remained CN. why have the ultimate evolution point for most CN slaadi be a differing CE? "if thine eye doth offend thee, pluck it out" - i say, if something in there made them seem CE instead of CN, then tone it down or get rid of it altogether!

keep in mind, the slaad lords all evolved from a death slaad. so, what, all of these uberpowerful CN archslaad decided to give up the evil to move further up the chain? sounds silly to me.

As I recall, part of the backstory in the Limbo chapter of Tales from the Infinite Staircase says/suggests that Ssendam and Ygorl were always slaad lords, and didn't move up through the "slaad hierarcy" (in fact, it reveals that they created the hierarchy, and the Spawning Stone to enforce it, to make sure another slaad didn't come into being who could ever threaten them).

Hey guys, why don't we have the planescape slaad debate in anoter thread? I started this thread as an idea mine for Erik Mona and James Jacobs to hit and get an idea of what kind of content people would like to see. If you think planescape is the shiznit, then just say "More PS based stuff please!" and leave it at that.

I have started a thread entitled "The Great Slaad Debate of '05" for those that want to continue the debate.
