I like how everyone in here is pretty much assuming that WotC is going to make it. I really hope that someone from WotC takes note of the tremendous support.

Well... Realistically, I don't expect to see it any time soon, especially as we've seen the product lineup for a good chunk of next year. But I sure would like to see it. But I'm with you, I hope the WotC product developers are checking this thread out since we've basically designed the layout for them already. ;)

One of the blessings/curses of D&D is that it's infinitely expandable. There's always another critter to write more about and I certainly would like to see more on the NE fiends and the planes they inhabit. I've had characters visit the Nine Hells or the Abyss several times over the years. Tartarus once and Hades twice. Part of this is player desire, but another part is having to develop more material on my own. It's definitely a product that'd support my needs.

Now all we need are more minis besides the mezzoloth. :D

Interwyrm,

Have you been drinking Joe's coffee again!?

Seriously while I'm not completely taken in by the false assumption it will happen, I am hopeful that it MIGHT happen by 2007.

Some time.

I voted that I don't care. But then I wouldn't care even for a book of celestials (they'll probably do this one), slaads or inevitables.

Demons & Devils are all I need for my adventures :D and even they could just be one whole instead of 2 separate groups. Yugoloth are a weak concept IMHO. OTOH, of course they can just be used as devils, demons or generic fiends.

When Paizo goes through the next batch of Dragon queries, we'll have a better idea of whether a FCIII may be a reality. If all of us with yugoloth queries get a "try back later/not at this time" type of response, I'd say its chances are good. If some get accepted, I'd say it's not likely to appear anytime soon.

Wow! I thought I was the only one who secretly, quietly felt this way. I LOVE fiends in general, but I think there has been far too much made of their distinctions, and I think the Yugoloths on their own are a weird (and unnecessary) idea.

That being said, I love extraplanar evil, so I'd still buy a yugoloth book for that reason.

That makes a lot of sense. They wouldn't want Dragon articles overlapping and/or contradicting what the authors are writing if they're working on an FCIII right now.

I hope this is the case. Get back to us on this if that happens.

I'd like to see Fiendish Codex III, if there is such a product, focus mainly on yugoloths, but leave room for other more esoteric fiends. Demodands, for instance. Maybe oni even. Ancient baatorians could maybe make a brief appearance. I don't know.

I just don't know that I think the yugoloths on their own warrant an entire book, although I think they should be the bulk of it.

Will do. That was actually one of the earliest clues I found that the FC1 was being created. ;)

I'm pretty much indifferent to 'loths as a group, but I like fiends in general.

After the quality of FC1 and early buzz of FC2, I'm definitely up for a third go-round.

Maybe we should start writing letters to WotC or Dragon Magazine to petition/propose*coughdemandcough* a Fiendish Codex III for Yugoloths and, perhaps, less-understood or less-well-known fiends (but with Yugoloths as the main/majority focus).

I'd like to see demodands and other such fiends given a bit more info and spotlight, and oni too (if nothing else it would be a good way to reprint, and update, oni from the Oriental Adventures book that aren't particularly tied to Rokugan, along with some new oni.....and unique oni lords......and how they could fit into the Great Wheel.....hopefully?) :D

Of the very few 3.5 books I would deem worthy (and likely) to buy, despite my vast dislike of 3.5 over 3.0, a Fiendish Codex III would be 1st or 2nd on my list. I'll probably buy Draconomicon sometime soon, and just maybe Lords of Madness, but a Fiendish Codex III would definitely get me to start spending some money again on D&D stuff (besides Dragon Magazine, which I already buy kinda frequently). Certainly not a lot of stuff, as my 'hat of d02 3.5 knows no limit', but hey; I haven't spent a dime on WotC D&D products since 3.5 was released. I'm not particularly hopeful towards 4th Edition right now, and I'd like to see the company's product quality standards go back up again before I get too dismal about the inevitable 4E's prospects.

Demons and devils? Meh. Done to death, and too one-dimensional. Bring us Yugoloths! :D
