Li likes stuff unified. me if I wanted unified evil, I'd stick with real life stuff. :p

In any case I'm waiting to see how it goes...and watching for Anthraxus to appear.

Well no reason we couldn't get both! Or all three anyway. Just have to wait and see when 2007 schedule gets a little firmed up. (Past June I mean.)

I hope if there is an FC3 it's a Yugoloth only. I see a lot of people saying to not focus it solely on yugoloths.

Why? There has to be a valid reason other than "I want other fiends to get covered too."

This is the chance for yugoloths to get the coverage they deserve. We'll never know how popular they are or how demanding they can be if WotC doesn't release a book that covers everything old/updated/new about them!

An FC3 will cover updated yugoloths and will cover and update all yugoloth material from the past editions. It will also have enough room for WotC to make them as interesting as possible. It will allow the authors to use whatever creative sparks they have and pour it all into the yugoloths. Devoting FC3 to yugoloths and "others" is just doing them wrong. It's not even doing them any justice at all!

This is like saying FCI should've been about demons and "others" and demon creations. Or FCII should've been about devils and "others". Why not them? Yugoloths have been around in 1E simultaneously with devils and demons, they deserve the same treatment, not less.

This is assuming WotC plans on even writing one but the FCs have been about one race of fiend and I doubt (well, knowing how WotC likes to change formats *coughPRESTIGECLASSEScough* *coughCITYSCAPEcough* *coughMMIVcough*, I -hope-) they will do yugoloths and "others" in it.

To summarize: The reason folks are saying this (myself included) is simply that we believe that the yugoloths can be sufficiently covered as well as the other fiends. You'll be hard-pressed to find two people more knowledgeable about all things yugoloth than Shemeska and Ripzerai, and both of them feel confident that the all existing yugoloth information could be covered in a book of the same size as FCII while still having room for additional fiends.

Both demons and devils have reams of more information than yugoloths in the previous editions of the game, and FC1 (I can't comment on FCII 'til I get it) covers them sufficiently in the pages offered.

I would much rather see a book that a) has a better chance to sell well and b) isn't full of padding.

No, it's like saying FC1 should have been about tanar'ri and other demon types. Which is exactly what it was.

Yugoloths are only one race of neutral evil fiend, just as tanar'ri are only one race of demon.

FC1 was about more than one race of fiend. So was FCII, which covered non-baatezu devils.
