Fiendwurm: Coolest Monster EVER?

Agreed Traveler, maybe if you had a COUPLE Death Knights do it in 2nd, that might work. But come on. It could only take down humaniods, never dragons.

True about Soth but even I think a fight between him and Kazgoth might be something to see. :)

What's the CR of the Fiendwurm? And does anyone know if there's a Shadow Template out there? I have a place for such a monstrosity, but it won't send things to the Abyss, but rather the Hell of Shadows within Shadows.

I beg to differ... The Orcwort is brand new for 3e and brand new for the MM2 (it did appear in Dragon a few months ago as a preview to the MM2). I wrote up the Orcwort after getting the direction from Jeff Grubb to create a colossal static plant with mobile servant goblin-like children. I decided against making it static and preferred orclike fruit-servants rather than goblins. Jeff Grubb agreed and the Orcwort was the result.

I suspect that he may have confused it with some of the Scro and other Inhuman Wars bits that cropped up in the original Spelljammer as there were several 'organic' creatures that could bred rapidly to destroy a world.

The Corpse Gatherer and Avolakia are some of my favourites right now. Walking Graveyards and Necrophagic (is that the right term when using undead?) Worms. This book actually has a lot of good things for undead.

I'm grateful, and ecstatic, that they've brought back the linnorms. I always thought they were far cooler than the "basic" dragons. I do wish they'd included age charts, and more than just those three.

Also, I kinda wish they'd kept Corpse Tearer a unique creature, rather than a whole breed of linnorm, but that's just a personal quirk, and I can change it for my own use, of course. :)

Eh, not even the Tarrasque is unique these days ;)

Besides, they at least made Corpse Tearer an epic-level monster.
