Fiery Dragon Productions: Awesome

First Post
One of the things that I was most looking forward to at this year's GenCon Indy was picking up some counters from Fiery Dragon Productions for my upcoming campaign. I grabbed Counter Collection II, the Arcana Unearthed CC, and one of the counter packs -- around US$43 worth of goodies -- and they not only sold them to me for $35, they threw in $6 worth of counter storage trays to boot.

I came back to the booth at the end of the con and picked up another counter pack an two more trays -- and they gave me a discount on those as well. In both cases this was unasked for and unexpected, but totally cool. :)

On top of that, everyone at the booth was friendly and informative -- they made shopping there as pleasant as possible. I already knew that the counters were nifty, but this experience really made me take notice of FD as a company. Nice people, great product and great service -- I highly recommend them. :D

(Edit: changed Press to Productions. That was embarassing. :o)

What are these counter trays you speak of? I can't find them on their webpage.

I own all of the counter packs/collections except the Diamond Throne pack. They are excellent.

You hear it every year, and every year it's true: these are good guys :)

Last year they had this great poster advertising their upcoming "Atomic City" product, and I asked if I could buy the poster, the answer was a sheepish "no", as it was the only one they had at that moment.

However James took down my address and promised to mail me one when they got some more printed off.

I assumed they would charge me. I assumed wrong. It arrived in the mail, in perfect condition and is curently framed on my wall :)

On a related note, do yourself a favor; go to their site and download "The Westwood Barony". It's free and cool.

They're a bit hard to describe, but I'll try. They're made of clear plastic, and they have sixteen compartments for storing counters. Each compartment is like a little valley, and the whole thing opens clamshell style. The dips in the center of the compartments keep the counters nicely situated, and the corresponding dips in the top mean that multiple trays stack nicely.

I had wondered how I was going to store my new counters in a non-frustrating manner, and these trays are perfect. I sort of assumed that they would be hard to find elsewhere (although I did also see them at the Chessex booth, this was the first time I had seen them in general), and my only regret is that I didn't pick up enough of them. ;)

Thanks for the description Haiiro. I've got my counters in baggies now and they're not as organized as I would like. In short, I NEED these trays. :D

Sadly, I can't find them on Fiery Dragon's or Chessex's site.

Fiery Dragon is top-notch. Everybody go buy their stuff so they can make more modules! A great, classy company.

Free counter trays? Heck, I didn't know they had counter trays!

I'd like to pick up some more trays as well, so I emailed FDP to find out if they sell them directly (or if not, know where I can buy them). If their answer is useful, I'll post it here.
