And if I had an infinite number of days, no problem; but the rules tell me that per day I can only move one character up by one place and this thing only runs until the 14th. :)
Two characters I thought! Can also put them in the bottom of a higher tier and use a move to bring them down. :)

Bronn, IMO belongs solidly in Tier 1. His most notable acomplichments are (somewhat narowly) defeating Vardis Egen in single combat and surviving the Battle of the Blackwater. This marks him as a good fighter, but there's nothing in the books to suggest he's among the best in the realm.

As for Bard, slaying a dragon is a far more significant feat than can be attributed to most characters in that tier.

I will echo the suggestion to allow moving characters further up or down with each vote. As characters get added, it's going to get very difficult for movement one slot at a time to accomplish anything.

I have no quarrels with any of the current names or votes; just one addition I think belongs in Tier 3:

Tier 4 - Masters of the World
Fingolfin (Tolkien)
Ecthelion (Tolkien)
Gil-Galad (Tolkien)
Glorfindel (Tolkien)
John Carter, Warlord of Barsoom (Burroughs)

Conan (Howard)
Aragorn (Tolkien)
Mandorallen (Eddings)
Drizzt Do'Urden (Salvatore)
Croaker (Cook)
Al'lan Mandragoran (Jordan)
Adolin Kholin (Sanderson)
Beowulf <-- That's my guy right there.

Tier 2 - Heroes of the Realm
Robin Hood (Anon)
Morley Dotes (Cook)
Paksenarrion Dorthansdotter (Moon)
Aillas of Troicinet (Vance)
Legolas (Tolkien)
Gimli (Tolkien)
Brienne of Tarth (Martin)
Bard (Tolkien)
Fafhrd (Leiber)
Jaime Lannister (Martin)
Bronn of the Blackwater (Martin)
Joscelin Verreuil (Carey)

Tier 1 - Local Heroes

He also trains Jaime how to fight with his other hand, and IMO if you're good enough to be the trainer for one of the best swordsmen in the realm that's saying something.

The two Clegane brothers might deserve a mention somewhere in there as well, but neither is as good as Jaime (the two-handed version!) or Brienne.
As for Bard, slaying a dragon is a far more significant feat than can be attributed to most characters in that tier.
He one-shots a Dragon on a lucky critical and otherwise, if memory serves, doesn't do much fighting at all (for these purposes I'm ignoring the movie version, where they do give him more to do, and going by the book). Hell, half the Dwarves in Thorin's company could each probably beat him mano-a-mano were it to come to that.
I will echo the suggestion to allow moving characters further up or down with each vote. As characters get added, it's going to get very difficult for movement one slot at a time to accomplish anything.
Hear hear.

Edit to add: good call on Jean Tannen, @Blue - I knew there was a fighter in those books but couldn't remember who it was! :)
