Figuring XP (please answer quickly)

I haven't been able to get the new books yet (money issues) and can't find my 3e books, so, can someone tell me where in the SRD the rules on figuring party level, XP, etc. is? I need to know pretty quickly. Thanks.

I'm afraid you have a problem.

Information on character creation and advancement in not in the SRD.

Do any of your players have a copy of the DMG?

And you don't use average party level anymore. You use each player's character level instead and cross it with the monster's CR. Then divide this number by the total number of characters. Do this for each character. This means that lower level characters will get more XP for each encounter until they catch up.
