The Japanese word for 'why' is d.o.s.h.i.t.e. However, when I type "doe," you see that it gets edited. Is there something that can be done about this? What about ake mushrooms? Or saying "thank you," "do itashe mae"? It's mad, I tell you.

I'm filtering Nihongo right now, if you know what I mean, and I think you do.

Standard rules apply: just because you find a way to sneak around the profanity filters does not make you cool or l33t. Using profanity is a great way to irritate the moderators!

But if you need to use Japanese, that is a clever solution.

Given that most profanity filters also filter out "legitimate" words and names (such as Moorcock, whose stories are one of the main inspirations for D&D), I don't really see the problem. At least it's still an extra effort you have to go to in order to use the not-profanity.
