Frowning, Sedar answers, " Your guess is as good as mine, Kae. Could be that they have all gone inside to turn the place upside down lickety split. Actually, I kind of hope that that is what they have done. We could use an element of surprise. "

Reacting to Rethlin's voice, Sedar darts towards the guard post and prepares to let the arrows fly, muttering, " I guess that answers that question... "

Now that Rethlin has pointed them out, everyone can see the guards.
So far they appear not to have noticed you.

There are seven of them, clad in mail with closed helms and large shield, bearing flails.
They're about 60 feet away and have cover from the guard shack.

Once everyone has cover in the guard shack, Sedar asks, " So, do you think we should wait for James to come with reinforcements, or should we go on the offensive now? With a little luck, it's possible that Zook could take all of them out with his flashy colour blast. "

"Only the Flame knows when, and with how much assistance, this 'James' will return. I think we should take the Skycoach immediately. If nothing else that cuts off a means of escape" responds Rethlin. "Can we do so quietly somehow?"

Zook frowns... " Unfortunately friends I was deceived into not preparing color spray today. The elven woman told me to prepare a lot of spells good for fighting undead and color spray doesn't work on undead. Unfortunately, I'm pretty low on offensive options. Sorry t disappoint. I can however bless us and do some healing, freeing up room for rethlin to go on the attack immediately

With that, zook casts mage armor for the protection he'll need

" Well, I suppose that if we can at least take out those guards, we will have control of the skytruck. That would be a big advantage in our favour, " whispers Sedar.

" So, does anyone want to chance a battle here, now? We have a defensible position, but no room to retreat. We are outnumbered, but I think we have the advantage of arcane firepower on our side. If Rethlin and I can hold them back, Kae will be able to keep the pressure on with her blast ray, or whatever you call it. "

As he speaks, Sedar puts his bow away again and readies his shield and sword for melee.
