Final words...

James shrugs and eyes Sedar.
"Have you ever considered wearing a distinctive bit of jewelry? I'll go round up some backup and you take your people after Manticore. Save some of the stabby bits for me!"

He lopes off towards the train station.

Sedar, are you taking the group towards the skytruck?

Kae smiles at James's flirtation, but it's not clear whether the smile is encouraging or just amused. He's attractive enough, but this is hardly a perfect time. Besides which, there are still too many questions - like how, if at all, is he involved with the situation. Sedar's arrival only adds to the confusion... but it does also flag up a few possibilities. As James makes his exit, she casts an eye over the changeling.

"...Interesting," she says flatly, eyes narrowing. "Perhaps you'd like to explain."

Sedar rubs his chin and quips, " Well, distinctive jewelery would kind of defeat the point, don't you think? "

" Oh, sorry about that. I had hoped that perhaps if I came upon the woman in an unfamiliar guise, that I would be able to deal with her diplomatically, but the reappearance of Manticore means that there is little time left for subtlety. We must hurry! "

Beckoning to everyone to follow, he heads off in the direction of the warehouse...

Kae's eyes only narrow further as Sedar ignores her and walks off. She doesn't like being ignored, doesn't like other people taking the lead... unless she's feeling lazy... and most especially doesn't like the idea of being tied up with whatever organisation James is going to for 'backup' - an organisation that Sedar is obviously affiliated with and an organisation that, most importantly, is a complete mystery to her.

There's a long moment where she strongly considers turning around and catching a train back to Sharn, leaving this whole mess behind her. But she can't help the feeling that having come this far, the whole thing would catch up with her if she tried to ignore it. Not to mention that that bastard Manticore promises to shortly be within her reach.

She gives a low hiss of frustration, and follows after the others.

The party follows Sedar at a quick pace to the warehouses, old military facilities converted to civilian use. (Yay peace dividend...)

Imagine a clock face 60-75 feet in diameter ringed with a high wooden fence.

The party is at the main entrance: 6:00. The main entrance is closed by a pair of trestles which the party can walk around or use for cover.

An empty guard shack is at 7:00: it has no doors and is basically cover.

At 5:00, there's a small office hut labeled : Recieving. Its doors and windows looked closed and locked and there is no light inside the building.

Closed and locked warehouses two and a half stories tall are closed and locked at 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 8:00, 9:00, and 10:00. The fence ties into the outside wall of the warehouses so it closes the gap between buildings.

At 12:00 is another large two-story building labeled MAIN: there are lights on upstairs and downstairs.

Two tall guard towers at 1:00 and 11:00 flank the MAIN building.

The skytruck has flown down and landed in the loading yard, near the MAIN building. The rear doors are open: the driver's seat is empty. The phantasmal mounts look exhausted.

Spot checks for all!

DC 10:
[sblock]
A body is hanging out of one of the guard towers: it looks like someone put a crossbow bolt in his neck.

DC 15:
[sblock]
Armored figures bearing the insignia of the Emerald Claw are standing patiently behind the skytruck.

DC 20:
[sblock]
The door to the MAIN building has been kicked in.

DC 32:

There is a flicker of motion atop the 2:00 warehouse.
