+1 AC when using two melee weapons, wield weapons that aren't light, draw or stow two weapons instead of one.

No. Barbarians get Reckless Attack at 2nd level, advantage on Strength attacks, but attacks against you have advantage until next turn.

Is the book robust enough to stop a ranged fork attack from an angry and spiteful DM hopped on Mt. Dew and Red Bull?

316+ pages and heavy enough to cause a concussion if swung with force. Pages are thin but slick paper. Really good index.
