You should look more closely, I think. That's the only Forgotten Realms book I owned other than the monster book. He's definitely in there. He's the guy with the limpy foot, right?

EDIT: Oh hell, maybe that's not who I'm thinking of - I looked him up on Wikipedia, and it didn't mention anything about his broken foot. Plus, I think the guy I'm thinking of is a sorceror. What IS that guy's name? I thought it sounded similar...

Tewligan, Jezz the Lame

In the FRCS there's a brief mention of him as a Fighter 17. This is obviously wrong.

i don't think I've ever seen Jarlaxle's stat block. But if being ultra cool was a class, he'd be level 26.

Let's play theory-craft!

I'd say Jarlaxle is something like a Swashbuckler 8/Rogue 9 with the "Daring Outlaw" feat from Complete Scoundrel. Isn't there a Prestige Class out there that deals with "Luck" a lot? That could work.

Nothing fancy, just a maxed out Use Magic Device and unimaginable wealth.

Never done in 3.x. There was 2nd ED. book somewhere with his stats. I'll have to check my library.

But for my theory for 3.x: He definetly has Paragon template from Epic level handbook.
