do we know that beyond FR and Eberron?Well, sure, obviously: this move makes it easier to release said other Settong books, which we know they are working on.

Yes, they were laying hints at entirely new Campaogn Settings for 2026 and beyond in Chiristian's recent articles.do we know that beyond FR and Eberron?
The video kinda implies that there are other settings books planned. Whether they are for existing or new settings is unknowndo we know that beyond FR and Eberron?
It's not using 2014 rulesI've used the 2014 monster creation guidelines to adjust existing stat blocks a ton over the past 10 years. I can tell you based on my extensive experience that adding a few points here and there isn't enough to impact CR. It generally has to be a big change - like giving a pirate the ability to cast fireball or something.
They did not leave out any mention of similar traits. They do in fact mention similar things. Just not similar enough to really make a call one way or the other. I do not think their lack of mention is a sign they think something specific about them. The fact that WotC left out any mention of species traits in the 2024 DMG leads me to believe that they don't feel any of them are impactful enough to affect CR.
When you add something, and then remove something else because you added something, that's what replace means.I never said anything about replacing traits, you Add Adrenaline Rush to the statblock, as directed by the DMG guidelines, then remove the THP feature. Problem solved. You're being deliberately obtuse at this point when there is enough advice in the guidelines.
The breakdown of 2024 Monster math comes to a TL;DR of the math working the same as in 2014, but they massaged how they aim atamhitting a consistent CR. The old Monster making rules not only essentially still work...but the NPC adjustments that didn't impact CR before are even less of a biggie. It's not using 2014 rules
Why do you reference the 2014 DMG rules when we're not using those, and they changed assumptions quite a bit for monsters in 2024?The 2014 DMG chart applied ASI and all the traits, and didn't impact CR. Putting in dome PC Species attributes on an NPC won't impact CR.
LOL they didn't work in 2014, they sure don't work for 2024 monsters, ad it's absurd to claim they do. The CRs never worked from 2014. I think there is about as widespread an agreement on D&D topics you can find on the Internet that the 2014 guidelines never worked for that topic. The breakdown of 2024 Monster math comes to a TL;DR of the math working the same as in 2014, but they massaged how they aim atamhitting a consistent CR. They didn't change the system math (this ia still the same game), they changed how they design individual Monsters: and the way they did so makes the changes less impaxtful than they even were before. Take the 2014 chart and slap it on a 2024 NPC, it won't change the CR, promise. Why do you reference the 2014 DMG rules when we're not using those, and they changed assumptions quite a bit for monsters in 2024?
