A d16 can be rolled with a d8 and a d6, a result of 4-6 adds 8 to the d8 roll.el-remmen said:I have seen them for sale at game shops and at conventions - and never thought of them as more than a novelty - but now I am thinking they might work for a house rule of mine (knockdown) - so anyone here have them/use them?
Should I bother? Or they just novelties as I always thought?
I am not looking for some kind of scientific study - just your general experience with how well they roll.
Thanks.
Beats me, d00d.glass said:Any particular technical difficulty with making a d17 or a d19, or is it just that nobody has bothered?
Jason Huff and I invented a fair d15 which Jason made for me out of aluminium. Jason is a professional machinist, and a highly skilled one at that, and he said that is was difficult to make. I asked him if he would make me a d17 and d19 based on the same design principle but he declined on the grounds that it would simply be too much work. That's not to say that he couldn't do them just that they would take more time than he could devote to them.glass said:Any particular technical difficulty with making a d17 or a d19, or is it just that nobody has bothered?
