Just got done reading Before Women Had Wings. I started reading at at 10 am, just got done 12 minutes ago. I feel really good about my self right now, I never have picked up a novel and read it all the way through to the end on the same day. I really am quite proud of myself!

Heh, I've done that a few times before...actually, last time was just the past year with 2061: Odyssey Three and 3001: The Final Odyssey. Just couldn't put those books down.

I used to do this, but with a one and a half year old running around, I rarely get the chance to string that much time together! :)

Hmm. I'd never pack only 300 pages -- or even only 600 -- of reading material for a day I'm flying east (which usually involves ~6 hours on a plane and ~2.5 hours waiting around in airports). But outside of travelling cross-country, I don't spend the whole day buried in a novel very often any more unless it's kind of short (say, less than 500 pages in paperback) and either exteremly compelling or part of a series I'm trying to finish.

Yay for you! I do things similar alot, but I have no life and so can do it often. I love the feeling when you are done though, it just feels great to have done it, and then also you feel more full from the reading don't you? Or at least I do, more complete if just for a bit. But I am weird on most things so I probably am on this too.

There have been a few times in the past where I've read an entire novel in a single day. The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris and The Lone Drow by R.A. Salvatore are two I can think of off the top of my head.

I was constantly doing that as a young teenager. Nowadays, not so much.
