Fire Elemental question

What would happen, if you were to somehow grapple a fire elemental, and submerge it in water? I mean, completely and in a large supply, so it doesn't boil away, like an ocean? Would it kill the Fire Elemental? Just wondering, thanks for anything.....

I'd either use slightly modified suffocation rules or the rules for vampires when they get submerged in running water. They'd boil the water for a little bit before they were overwhelmed though I'd say.

I don't believe I've seen it specified anywhere - but they are listed as being pure fire, and most fires have difficulties underwater (some don't, but most do) so you could certainly add such.

Water (or any non-flammable liquid) being an impassable barrier for Fire Elementals, I'd say if you managed to submerge one, it would be destroyed instantly.
