Fire spells without cap

I recently entered a prestige class (Silver Pyromancer) that let's me cast fire spells at a higher level than my normal Arcane spellcaster level.

However, most fire spells I know cap out at about CL 10.

So, I'm looking for (lvl 1-5) fire spells that do NOT cap out at CL 10, but do additional damage based on caster level beyond that.

(preferrably, spells like fireball that are instantaneous. we already have another caster spamming walls, and we all hate him for it :) )

Orb of Fire (Complete Arcane p.116) caps at 15d6. Level 4 spell.
Greater Fireburst (Complete Arcane p.107) caps at 15d6 and can hit multiple targets. Level 5 spell.
Flame Strike (PHB p.231) caps at 15d6. Not a Sor/Wis spell though.

Fire & Brimstonee (CM) caps at 15d6 (to one creature, plus a status effect; fort half)

Bright Worms (PHBII) is not 1d6/level, but does area damage over time based on level, which improves at 11th & 15th.

Greater Fireburst (SC) maxes out at 15d10.

Empowered Fireball tops out at an effective 15 D6 (10 D6 x 1.5, to be precise), and falls within the 1-5 level range.
Empower multiplies the damage, it does not increase the number of dice rolled.
Absolutely, which is why I said it did an *effective* 15 D6, and then spelled out that it actually does 10 D6, but multiplied the result by 1.5.

For single target Scorching Ray can be empowered up to three bolts of *EFFECTIVELY* 6 d6 each (4 D6 x 1.5), for a total *EFFECTIVE* damage of up to 18 D6 (3 x 4D6 x 1.5 ), no Save. (at 11th level caster).

Of course, if they have any Fire Resistance it counts triple, so this one gets laid low pretty fast, but when it works it's nearly nuclear. And the effective spell level is 4th, again well within your spell level range.

Won't there be statistical differences?

Sort of.

10 D6 averages 35 points.

5 D6 averages 17.5 points.

15 D6 therefore averages 52.5 points.

35 x 1.5 = 52.5

So numerically they're the same. However, the way things tend to run, statistically, is that the more dice you roll the closer you'll be, percentage wise, to that average number.

So you'll get a wider variance with Empowered Fireball at 10 D6 x 1.5 than you'll get with Delayed Blast Fireball, rolling a true 15 D6. The curve still bells out at 52.5, but it's a sharper curve when you actually roll 15 dice.

Other than that, though, they're pretty much the same.

Thanks for the Greater Fireburst, Orb of Fire, Fire & Brimstone and Bright Worms suggestions.

As to Empowering spells: thanks, but I got that covered. I was explicitly looking for spells that benefit from higher Caster Level, not increased spell level....
