San Diego County is on fire. The sherrif just came to my house to tell us to evacuate. I'm taking my computer with me (the tower). I don't know when I'll be able to post again.

He said it doesn't look good. The fire is on the other side of the mountain.

San Bernardino County near Los Angeles County is on fire too, but my college hasn't been evacuated. Yet. The fire does have to cross a freeway to get here, but it's not unheard of.

My family and I are safe. Half of the houses on our street were burned to the ground. Ours was not, while our next door neighbor lost everything. The fire came up to our back fence and burned some of our trees but then went around. Our neighbor's house was wiped out, the threes between our houses were burned, but we were spared. That's grace.

We don't have phone service or power and our water is tained so I can't live at home yet. They said it will be a minimum of two weeks for power so it could be a while before I can post regularly. My sister in law's internet is terrible. And we'll be moving around with the kids for a while.
