Unless he has a Neilson box or a DVR it really doesn't matter. ;)
Depends on his cable service. Mine tracks the shows I watch (anonymously, in theory), with no DVR, via an xDSL setup. Other cable companies are going towards this, too.

I saw it for the first time on friday, and all I have to say is... wow.

That show is incredible. I wish I had ovaries, so I could bear Joss Whedon's children. Or, ya know, something like that.

I fall into this camp too. I watched the first couple of episodes when they came out on Fox and thought they were ok. But I kinda lost it in the shuffle, and never thought about them again. When they came out on DVD and they kept getting raves, I decided to check them out. I was hooked. The chemistry between the characters is amazing, the writing is crisp and clean and funny as hell. Im disappointed that I didnt catch the show more when it origianlly aired becuase then I would have a right to bitch about it being canned.

I had a similar experience, when it start I was rather blah, but it was on right after John Doe (which started off stronger), so I stuck with it. By the end it had really grown on me and I bought the dvds as soon as they came out. Watched everything in order and was then a fan.

I watched the first episode (The Train Job) on Fox, and liked it. But I missed the next couple of episodes (damn VCR  ), and when I finally did watch a second episode, I was sort of indifferent about it.

But the Out of Gas episode really blew me away. And every episode after that kept getting better and better. I was so hooked. I got really depressed when I heard Fox had cancelled the show. Especially after seeing Objects in Space.

When Fox finally got around to showing the two-hour premiere as the last episode, I got really angry. Those idiots set the show up to fail from the very beginning.
