Firefox help!

Need a bit of help with this. Somehow by default, MP3's download and play with the Quicktime plugin in Firefox. Tonight I installed Winamp 5 (i think that's the version) and set it to be default player for MP3's which is what I want.

I checked options in Firefox and MP3's are clearly associated with Winamp, not Quicktime, and I even rebooted, but Firefox 1.0 still associates MP3's with Quicktime, even though I'mlooking right at options and it clearly says Winamp.

Anyone have a clue how to change that?

Saw this from another forum on the web. I didn't look for too long, so there may be a better solution.

Wow! what a huge workaround! I had to disable MP3's entirely in Firefox, which enabled a download prompt when clicking an MP3. I was then prompted to open with Winamp (or my choice of others) and there was the option to always perform this action. Oddly after doing so (choosing Winamp and clicking always perform this operation), now not only do MP3's open in Winamp, but my Download dialog box reappears again.
