First Freddy VS Jason, Now This...

Um, does this really need to be made? No, but I'm sure it will make money, so it probably will. Hopefully it will get caught in the same developement hell that Jason vs. Freddy went through, and we won't see it for years. Or maybe it will go into a black hole and never see the light of day, which is what I hope happens. Hellraiser lost it after the second film, and Halloween, well, after the first.

Whats next, the Howling vs. The Vampire Lestat? Oh, yeah, thats Underworld in a couple weeks. ;)

Hey maybe after Micheal Meyers vs Pinhead they can have a movie of the two winners going at it!

Freddy/Jason vs Pinhead/Michael Meyers. Or even better a tag team match! Inside the steel cage of death! Only this Sunday, SUNday, SUNDAY!!

Oh, sorry. Got carried away.

Don't forget the two-team Battle Royale featuring Leatherface and his family versus the Satanic cult from Rosemary's Baby.

Also on the venue, we have Hannibal Lecter vs. The Killer from Se7en, Randall Flagg vs. The Candyman, and Alien vs. John Carpenter's The Thing.

As a bonus venue, we have the Amityville Horror versus the Blair Witch... a grudge match between villains you never see on-camera!

What's funny about this team-up is how closely it mirrors Freddy Vs Jason. One is the intelligent one with flashy supernatural powers, and the other is the physical killing machine.

And is Meyers a zombie, too? I've only seen bits and pieces of the Halloween sequels (enough to recognize how bad they are and turn them off), but I've heard he was pretty well killed in one of the recent sequels?

If we want future monster vs monster movies, why not go with themes? Y'know, have Jason vs Meyers vs Maniac Cop in an all out zombie slugfest?

Actually, I was just joking, but I'd pay to see Jason vs Maniac Cop. The 1st film is really quite good.

What other types of themes could we have? The Lost Boys vs Lestat? Lestat whines for a while, then the Lost Boys pants him, stick his head in the toilet and give him a swirly. :)

And it's a shame Anthony Perkins is dead. You know someone would have a Hannibal Lector Meets Norman Bates script in the works if he wasn't.

Pinhead vs. The Shape?

I dunno. I geekgasmed the minute I heard that Jason vs. Freddy might
actually happen, but it's such a perfect match. A perfect fit. Micheal
Meyers too fits perfectly into their campy 'SlasherVerse'. It's the same
as how Predator and Alien fit perfectly into the same universe. They
mesh. If you'd stick the They Live! aliens or the Pod People/Body
Snatchers into the fray it would look silly.

Micheal Meyers and Pinhead do not mesh.

Now, Pinhead might fit with the ship from Event Horizon or other horrors
in similar veins. I can't think of many others, mind you, but there aren't
many films that resemble the Hellraiser movies.

Actually I'd much rather see Pinhead versus IT from Stephen King, or Randall Flagg. :) Now THAT would be cool. Demon versus demon is always cool. I just can't think of any big name box office demons to fight Pinhead.

Btw I felt the Hellraiser series was fine on the first two...but the third one was a little much. Fourth, Bloodline, wasn't bad but too campy.

That was what I was thinking. You need something not only demonic
against Pinhead, but something with a certain menace around it.

Something *powerful*.

I just can't think of any big name box office demons to fight Pinhead.
Neither can I. probably means there aren't that many.

What about sorcerors/warlocks/magic-users? Something wants the
pleasures of the Lament Box for himself or the power of Pinhead (or
the Leviathan or something).

That could work I think.

Now big name sorcerors... eh... Harry Potter is the only name I can think
of at the moment (now, there's a movie I'd pay to see). There's always
Warlock, but since I haven't seen the movies, I can't say if it's any good.
