Mmkay, right.
Few more questions :s
What base attack bonus is used with the rapid shot attack ie, 6/1 .
When purchasing composite bows, can you upgrade the bow's strength score or do you need to buy an entirely new bow in Pathfinder Society. Just wondering if its worth bothering with a composite bow with the new toon or just get a regular longbow until I can afford a 3 strength score one.
Edit: when making multiple attacks via manyshot, rapid shot and a 6 base bonus, do you have to delcare targets before making the attacks or can you choose targets as you make each attack?
If you have a BAB of 6/1 and assuming a 16 Dex your full rapid shot attack would be 8/8/2. This is assuming nothing else is interacting with the attack (weapon focus, point blank shot, magic bow, etc)
You can not "upgrade" a bow's composite rating. You can however craft several bows as you level and achieve greater strength. This is probally the best route as you could be hit by something that drains STR and suddenly your Composite Longbow +3 is causing low damage output as you do not have the STR for it.
When firing multiple arrows or projectiles, they must all be at 1 target unless you have some volley ability. Basically, 1 unlucky person gets many arrows fired at them.
Actually, there's nothing that says all arrows have to be fired at the same target.
Hail of Arrows (Sp)
In lieu of his regular attacks, once per day an arcane archer of 8th level or higher can fire an arrow at each and every target within range, to a maximum of one target for every arcane archer level she has earned. Each attack uses the archer's primary attack bonus, and each enemy may only be targeted by a single arrow.
I can not find any rules either way on this
PFSRD said:If you get more than one attack per round because your base attack bonus is high enough (see Base Attack Bonus in Classes), because you fight with two weapons or a double weapon, or for some special reason, you must use a full-round action to get your additional attacks. You do not need to specify the targets of your attacks ahead of time. You can see how the earlier attacks turn out before assigning the later ones
Lets compare this
Level 6 fighter
Can hit 2 targets with his sword if he can divide his full attack to separate targets AS A FULL-ROUND ACTION, THE FIRST AT BAB +6, THE SECOND AT BAB +1
Level 6 fighter with cleave
Can hit 2 targets with his sword AS A STANDARD ACTION, if he hits the first target and the second is next to the first. +5 compared to other example to hit second target (+6 BAB VS. +1 BAB). -2 to AC till his next turn
