What would your first purchase be if WotC announced it's re-releasing older editions for sale via PDF's?

An alarm clock to wake me up? :D

Seriously, I think I might want to pick up some of the 1E stuff so that I have PDF companions for my hardcopies, particularly megadungeon material which is harder to organize at the game table.

Hmm, nothing?

Yeah, that would be about right. I do not play the older editions.

Neither do I, but I still mine them for rules ideas and I seem to always end up reusing the old adventures.

Guess I should point out I have yet to "run" the old games, but I have played them. I have been thinking about running an OSRIC game, but haven't even asked my players if they are interested.

As PDFs? None.

As print, there are quite a few of Dark Sun, Spelljammer, Planescape, and Eberron items, as well as plenty of missed FR stuff, and a few BECMI and "Return" items. I would vacuum that up.

OD&D and it's supplements then lots of the classic adventures. then I'd get ad&d hard backs as I could budget them

I miss my Aurora's Guide to the Realms. That was my all-time favourite D&D book purchase and some bastard player borrowed it and lost it. I was so pissed at him that I made him pay for it and only found out later (when trying to re-buy it) that it was a collector's item worth three times what I asked him for it, so I never ended up getting another one.

I wouldn't mind picking up a lot of the Greyhawk stuff if the PDF's were done really nicely. The problem with selling them as PDF's, though, is that they'd probably just be crappy scans like they used to have of some older stuff. In that case, I'd pass, as I can get crappy scans for free elsewhere.
