Some people have received their copies of Fizban's Treasury of Dragons, and have posted photos (including the table of contents!) online!
Actually, that is what the D&D design team said.So you say.
Chris Perkins, not me:So you say.
Exactly. If Paramount ends up doing an Eberron movie, then I would think that Rising from the Last War would be used as "canon," but other books would not be held to that level.Actually, that is what the D&D design team said.
Specifically:
We can imply that:
- Other media (books, video games, movie, etc.) is not canon to the TTRPG.
- Only the core 3 (PHB, DMG, MM) are canon to 5th edition
- Setting books are core for their setting. However,...
- #2 above probably applies outside that specific setting book
Lower the HP, add Mythic...seems fair.It was clear in the live stream, but it looks like they have reduced Tiamat's base HP which I expected, but still a little disappointed.
Doesn't Rising and Wayfinder's point you in the direction of older material? Would that not imply that the older material is canon (exept where contradicted by the newer books)?
I mean, it's there as an option, but it's not requires.Like I said it doesn't make sense, alot of stuff was designed to take preexisting lore across editions into account. They didn't think it through, so I decided to just ignore them until they actual put some thought into it.
Her statblock is quite different overall. Though very powerful.Lower the HP, add Mythic...seems fair.
I couldn't catch the rest - just noticed the HPHer statblock is quite different overall. Though very powerful.
The mythic shouldn't matter to the CR. The issue was Tiamat was an early design by a third party. I fully expected the HP to go down, just like the demon lords did when they reprinted them. However, I was hoping it wouldn't change.Lower the HP, add Mythic...seems fair.
