Flight: not being able to after HP loss

Paragon

Wielder of the Power Cosmic
is there something in the 3.5 rules that state you loose the ability to fly (if you have it) if you lose over 1/2 your hp, such as a dragon loosing 1/2 hp not being able to take flight. or is this just a hold over in my head from 2nd edition? anyone anyone?
thanks!

There's a similar thread regarding carrying capacity. How odd.
For reference, here's the other thread.

Basically, the point is the same. D&D assumes you're fully capable of any and all abilities, right up until you fall to -1 hp, at which point you collapse unconscious. So a flying creature can keep on flying right through 0 hp. Anything different is a holdover from something else (I'm not familiar enough with 2ed to say if it was there.)

Don't forget that you can houserule things though. If you decide that creatures with less than 1/2 hp can't fly and keep the rule consistant then it's fine, remember that the game is yours and you can do what you want with it.

ok cool, i don't particularly like the rule but i couldn't find anything in the rules one way or the other so i was having an arguement with myself.
thanks!
