Flumphs got the shaft!

One of these days, SOMEONE is going to have to explain to me the attraction to the Flumphs. Tressyms I can sort of understand, but not these guys...

Nightfall,

As my PC once found out when he was being hosted by a drow ambassador/political advisor, fried flumph is quite flavorful. Not that he ever found out what a flumph was.

*thinks about Ed's quoted comment* Half-fiendish flumphs, *shudders* those damn fiends will do it with anything on two tentacles!

I wonder if the modrons will ever see paper instead of PDF... *sigh*

Weren't modrons in Manual of the Planes??

I only had it a week or two before it got stolen (grumble) but I thought I remembered seeing them in there.

A picture of a modron was in the MotP, but that's it.

There was a Rogue Module pamplet at last year's gencon (that didn't make the web enhancement).

The web enhancement had standard non-rogue pamplets.

the tirapheg got stumped!

speaking of seriously silly critters, anyone remember this 1e Fiend Folio beastie? eyes in a featureless face, two arms ending in spikes, a clawed arm growing from its chest, a wide mouth yawning from its belly, two humanoid legs and a pegleg between...it could run a three-legged race solo!

ridiculous, and yet...somehow charming...

if you're listening, Boz, help me out. i may not live another week if i can't roll up a tirapheg PC...

you'll always be my favorite monster, Boz!

can't belieeeve this didn't make the cut for Tome of Horrors. for which i congratulate you wholeheartedly.

looking over the 'pheg, i'm thinking, sure do like the idea of a wizard who can't be flanked. maybe a conjurer, taking the alienist PrC from Tome & Blood. poor misunderstood 'pheg, stranded on the Prime Material, just wants to find his way back home to the Time Out Of Space...

if i work this oddity up and post it in the Rogues Gallery i'll be sure to let you know. thanks again!

Didn't that thing also have a celery stalk arm and Patrick Duffy for a leg?
