Flurry of blows and Two-Weapon fighting

Hi,

IIRC, you can't combine Flurry of blows and TWF, but I don't remember the details, can someone can point me to an exact rule on it?

Thanks.

Key but arguable sentence in PHB: Monk, Unarmed Strike, "Making an off-hand attack makes no sense for a monk striking unarmed."

In 3.0 FAQ, ruling was "no", monks can't use TWF this way.
In 3.5 FAQ, ruling became "yes", monks can use TWF this way.

Personally I prefer the 3.0 ruling.

With Shurikens, you could combine Flurry, TWF and Rapid Shot.

Actually this is not true, you cannot TWF with monk weapons whole executing a flurry of blows.

What you can do is perform a flurry of blows as a primary attack and make secondary attacks with a different weapon using the TWF rules.

This is according to the 3.5 FAQ anyway.

There's nothing wrong with TWF and Flurry of Blows. When the monk is using weapons, it merely means something different. Most Monks I've seen don't use weapons, though, just their fists. In these situations, TWF and Flurry of Blows work just fine.

Also, if you're TWF with a weapon and you get a flurry-like ability (like with the Exotic Weapon Master), the two also work together.
