The dual-wielding game mechanics are absolutely great now, there is near perfect balance between dual wielding and 2handed weapons, A+ implementation (no sarcasm)Is this the worst implementation of dual wielding yet in D&D? You'd think after 50 years they'd learn how to write clear rules on one of the most common melee power fantasies.
Now as for the actual description of those game mechanics in the 2024 Players Handbook? Definitely the worst I've ever seen. It's almost like they intended to be purposely NOT define how the mechanics actually work and then wait for the theorycrafting powergamers to go calculate which interpretation would result in the best game balance.
