Hi, I need some help understanding how many attacks I can make within the new 2024 rules. If I am a fighter3/monk4 holding a scimitar (vex) and a short sword (nick) how many attacks can I make if I want to activate my flurry of blows? I also have Two-weapon fighting. Right now I have 1 attack from base action + 1 from nick + 2 unarmed strikes from flurry of blows + 1 from action surge. Is that correct?
Thanks in advance.
So first, it is Scimitar (Nick) and Short Sword (Vex).
You have the two-weapon fighting style; this means attacks made due to the light property add your attribute bonus to damage.
You make an attack as an action. This lets you attack with one weapon; I'll assume the short sword. This activates Vex (if you hit, the next attack on the target has advantage).
As you have made an attack with a light weapon, this activates that property. You can make an attack later in the round once with a different light weapon as a bonus action (normally without adding your attribute to damage, but your two-weapon fighting style lets you add your attribute to damage).
You have a Scimitar equipped and have mastered Nick. This lets you do the above attack once on your turn without using a the bonus action. So you attack with the Scimitar.
Next you flurry of blows. This lets you spend 1 ki and a bonus action to make 2 unarmed strikes.
Then you action surge. This lets you make an attack; however, even if it is with a light weapon, you cannot trigger another nick, as nick is restricted to once per turn.
So: 1 Short Sword, 1 Scimitar, 2 Unarmed and 1 of any kind of attack.
