Force Golem

Woah. Birlliant energy weapons hit a golem? They're supposed to only affect living things, that's the reason they ignore most armor. Mayve make a damage type, like bludgeoing or slashing, affect it. Should make it easier, and still retain some flavor.

Okay, so maybe this is a house rule. IMC brilliant energy weapons attacks ignoring non-force shield and armor bonuses, but they affect undead and golems normally. Because basically brilliant energy makes your sword into a light saber.

Doesn't matter anyway, because the party didn't have or use any brilliant energy weapons in the encounter.

Wouldn;t this beasty be extremely vulnerable to disintegrate? (Operating on 3.0 here...)

Yes, and even to the 3.5 version. This is why the CR cannot be much more than 12, because a single disintegrate ends the combat if the caster is on the right side of the wall of force. If not, it may take a dimension door and a disintegrate.
