D&D 5E (2014) ForgedAnvil D&D 5E Character Generator

Version 1.61 Released

And finally, version 1.61 is now released and available in the downloads section. A massive update that includes a heap more than what is listed below.
Download here - ForgedAnvil 5E Character Generator and take a moment and rate thisif you like it, thank you!

V1.61 02 Dec 2015
- NEW FEATURE Added Custom Subclass feature
- NEW FEATURE Added all Sword Coast Adventurers Guide content. Races, Subclasses, Backgrounds, Spells etc...
- Redesigned Adventurers Log sheet (also increase number of pages to 3, using the filter to show the required number of pages)
- Redesigned Character Summary sheet
- Added the ability to rename the base class (Class 1, Class 2, Class 3)
- Added many named variables for custom Character Sheet design
- Improved Japanese translations thanks to Fighter-KOU
- Various bug fixes, spelling corrections and tool enhancements

The Character Transfer Tool has yet to be updated but will partially work (~85% of your character should transfer, Spellcasting sheet will have problems. Recommend to build characters from scratch to test the new functionality and added content).

I'll be working on the transfer tool over the coming weeks and will release it later. I wanted to ensure everyone can enjoy the new features and functionality of the tool and not wait for the transfer tool to be completed :)

Let me know if you find issues, enjoy!

ForgedAnvil:

Just downloaded the 1.61 but haven't had time to play with it yet. The only thing I've noticed so far is that there is only room for 1 sub-class. Do you plan to add the standard other 2 spots eventually? Not that it matters, I was just wondering.

Btw, 3 big bear hugs for the class rename feature!!!

I'll get back to you with possible bugs and other comments later once I play with the new sheet some.

I thought you might like the Class rename feature ;)

The other 2 custom subclasses are planned later once the first one has been ironed out for bugs, features etc. I've still yet to implement proficiencies for saving throw in subclasses so that's also on feature request list. This list was growing so needed to release this version to get it out in the wild whilst I work on other stuff.

If it's just a +1 dagger, you insert dagger into the "Weapon" place, and do +1 in the bonus. That'll get it there.

Like for instance, In Lost Mine of Phandelver there's a +1 Battleaxe that does max damage against wood. This is how I'd insert it in.

Weapon: Battleaxe
Bonus: +1
Overrides-----
Properties: proficient, versitile (1d10), Max damage against wood

FYI, it is also possible use the named variable

=Attack1prof&", max dmg against wood"

in the attack properties override for example. This will use the original properties of the weapon selected in Attack 1

Forged Anvil,
I am playing with 1.61. I must say it is very nice. I did notice as I was transferring previous characters,

1. I noticed that on Character Sheet 2 when you enter an item that has a magic rarity the font does not change color to indicate the level of rarity also the magic rarity override isn't working also.

2. When you create a character that has the spellcasting ability and you select the Half-High Elf race, when you have Elf Weapon Training trait selected, when you go to the Spellcasting Page it gives you a Cantrip. Also with the Half-High Elf if you select Cantrip trait selected it gives you 2 cantrips.

Other than that I have not found any bugs. Again OUTSTANDING WORK!!!!!

ForgedAnvil, does the Tranfer Tool v1.60 work with v1.61 of the sheet? Or will there be a newer transfer tool forthcoming?

v1.60 of the Character Transfer Tool is not 100% compatible with v1.61, it might transfer say 75% of your character successfully. I'll be releasing a new version of the transfer tool at some point to be compatible with v1.61

Thanks for the feedback!

1. Found the issue with the reset the clears a formula in CSII which affects the color of the text when magic rarity is selected. Fixed for v1.62

2. This one I'll have too look into further and fix it, nice catch though. [UPDATE: Fixed issue with Half - High Elf showing under cantrips when Elf Weapon Proficiency is selected in v1.62]

I may have spoke too soon on the Half-High Elf. I was going through the PHB late last night after I posted my message. The character type I was working on is a Sorcerer (which I neglected to mention that in my original post). I discovered that the Sorcerer can have 6 Cantrips starting at level 10. So the issue I discovered is that if you have the Elf Weapon Training trait selected, the spellcasting page will still show Half-High Elf note next to the Cantrip list.
