Forgotten Realms Cast

First of all if you have no idea what Im talking about check out the announcement here.

So what I'm asking is, If you had your way, who would you cast as the various faces of the realms???

I'd cast that guy who played Gandalf in LotR to play Elminster, seeing as Elminster is basically Gandalf in the realms (well, maybe moer akin to a melding of Gandalf and Superman)

Elminster - Tim Curry
Mystra - Jessica Alba
Bane - Gary Coleman (voice)
Ilmater - Gabriel Byrne
Drizzt - Maggie Smith
Lolth - Shelly Winters (voice)

Elminster? I'd cast Liam Neeson. Elminster may look old, but he does not act his age physically. You need a younger actor, preferably between the age of 40-50.

The Simbul? Lucy Lawless. Seen her on Xena (bad girl try to do good ... well, I did say "try").

Alias? Sorry, but I'm not going to cast Jennifer Garner (of ABC's spy show Alias) but I'd go with Dina Meyer (Starship Trooper).

Dare to cast against type, people. You can't get the best actors if you don't let them stretch, and you can't make the next crop of the same if you don't let them try.

 

[Numion]

Nah, Wesley Snipes is the true Drizzt!

And the woman from Spidey is Katti-Brie and they finally score in the series!

Depending on where it was placed in the Realms would depend on the characters, but here are a few suggestions for various people.

Artemis Enteri...Ray Park
Jarlaxle...Chow Yun Fat
Mirt the Moneylender...Danny Devito
Halaster Blackcloak...Christopher Walken
Khelben Blackstaff...Jonothan Frakes
Simbul...Shakira
Volo...Tim Roth

Just a couple for now, but I will think of some more as time goes by.

Vangerdahast...Dennis Farena
Storm Silverhand...Lady that played Major Kira from DS9

Voices for several dragons or other important creatures could be James Earl Jones, Patick Stewart, and John Travolta.

I'll jump in and echo Danny DeVito as Mirt the Moneylender and Wesley Snipes as Drizz't.

Snipes was Phenomenal in that first Blade movie.

DeVito s good in everything.
