While Artificers can fit into any D&D world, it would be annoying to have to buy FR content and fluff in order to get access to them.Why would that piss you off? To me the FR Players Guide is the second part of the PHB as far as I'm concerned.

There were some experimental rules for spellfire as a series of supernatural gifts - I think maybe as part of the closed SCAG playtesting. They obviously didn't make the cut for that book, but they did show up in limited form in Laeral Silverhand's Dragon Heist statblock.

Probably why it was reprinted in an Everything book. I'd hoped to see less of that this time...I'm sure that's how non eberron fans feel... This will be in a book with a lot of options, hopefully, hopefully.
