Forked Thread: Is Being Knocked out Restful?

Seems like usually, no, its not restful. But I'd allow a creative player to make an Endurance Check (likely medium or hard DC) to allow recovery of Encounter powers. Either one Endurance Check for everything, or perhaps one check per power depending on how dramatic I wanted to make it. I'd allow a companion who forgoes their own short rest to make a Heal Check just like with a disease.

My group hasn't run into this particular situation, but I'm inclined to agree with Mengu. Being in the care of allies would go a long way to mitigating the negative effects of being KO'd.

I like mengu's approach as well. Just because you STARTED out K/O'd, it doesn't mean that the condition can't be turned into restful sleep with the kind ministrations of others. In fantasy literature, how many times has the hero been knocked out/poisoned/fevered, only to wake up clean and rested? (I'm looking at YOU, Elrond of Rivendell)
