Fort Knocks - knight otu judging

Eusebius is concerned that Andrew is so badly wounded and hopes that one of the healers can reach him but decides that the best thing he can do is continue to bring the fight to the bat in front of him. Cautious of those sharp fangs and filthy claws, he strikes out, seeking to pound the beast into the ground. At the same time he remains ready to make an opportune attack against any opponent careless enough to stray into the range of his longspear.

As brother E finally lands a solid kick on the bat, it launches itself upwards and flees to search out easier prey. The second bat, harried by the new flying appiration and facing the twin lights of Andrew's ever burning torch and Rainca's suddenly glowing ax takes the better part of valor as well and launches itself past the construct to disapear into the night.

In the sudden stillness, Skeeter goes quickly to the wounded horse to check on it, and Andrew politely stops Atrax from using the wand on him. "Susan can care for me and have magic again tommorrow - best not to use up a limited resource, right?"

"And don´t come back!" shouts Nodis after the giant bats.

"Whoa, that was incredible. And that wand is really cool." Nodis walks around moving his arms as he speaks, obviously still excited by the recent battle.

Brother Eusebius looks around, alert for any further threat, then says to the warrior leader, "Rainca, have you fought these things before? What do you know about them? What sort of creatures are they?"

Upon receiving a reply he nods then wrinkles his nose at the stench of the beasts clinging to him. He will travel downwind of the animals tonight - until he can find a place to bathe.

"Let us be off, my friends. More than ever, a secure camp and a hot meal beckons!"

Gathering his discarded daggers, Artax replies, Yes, let us continue on toward a suitable campsite before we are attacked again.

Rainca shakes her head as she wends her way along the rocky trail holding her now-glowing ax aloft, "No Brother Eusebius, Rainca has not fought the likes of these before. She listened to wise-handed Artax."

She drops her eyes, "Rainca is shamed. These leather winged dogs would not have attacked us if we'd lit torches, as some wished and Rainca spoke against." She looks worriedly at the gouged and spooky horses and at Andrew and the others who took wounds. "Rainca will listen better to those who know these lands, or know more of the creatures not of her home."

Rurik calls back from atop his horse, which is now moving forward on the way to a campsite once again:

"Now, Raincar, aren't no 'un dead, so t'aint o' any good ter punish yerseff. C'mon, less go."
