Forthcoming 4E settings?

"Only thirteen." I know, compared to FR it isn't that much but it is still funny.

It isn't that much compared to the older settings either. Ignoring adventures, we have:
Birthright - 24
Dark Sun - 22
Planescape - 18
Ravenloft - 33 (though I think a significant chunk of those are repackagings of older books, but I'm not sure)
Spelljammer - 15
Dragonlance - 15 or more (not sure which on the list are adventures other than the DL and DLC series)
Greyhawk - 16 (again, not quite sure which are adventures)
Mystara - 8 for AD&D plus a bazillion (at least 20 - D&D didn't have any differentiation between "generic" D&D and Known World stuff, so it's hard to say) for Mentzer D&D.

Al-Qadim and Kara-Tur had fewer sourcebooks, though.

So, when it comes to D&D, I think "only" 13 books is a fair assessment.

When we had the official license, we released another 10 source or reference books, as well as three map accessories and six campaign-sized adventure modules. And between 2nd edition and 3rd edition, there were ten or so boxed sets and standalone sourcebooks for the SAGA card-based system used for the Fifth Age. All official, FYI.

So when is the hardback going to be available for purchase?

Fiery Dragon is planning a Scarred Lands 4E.

Part of me is thrilled that somebody is planning to support the setting. The other part of me is afraid that it may end up being a flimsy, pocket-sized, spiral-bound booklet thrown into a surplus counter tin.

Seconded. Kalamar has been my setting of choice for over six years.
