"Well done, Desh. Thank you!". Isdar leaps across the corpse of the gator and stabs at the humanoid's exposed back. The creature is clearly badly injured, but stands still.
Seeing Isdar move to handle the humanoid, Oak engages the drake, attacking with both blades. Only one sword slashes the drake, which starts to screech in panic.
You hear again the demonic voice from before, hissing angered: Fools!! Kill the Dragonborn Knight! The humanoid creature reacts with a gesture directed at Desh.

The spider bites again at Blizzard, inflicting him another grievous wound.

Meriadeth finally succumbs and faints.

The drake actually attacks Desh, spitting acid at him, after stepping away from Oak. The dragonborn feels the pain from the acid and the vines strangling him, struggles to free himself, but can't. He tries desperately to attack the Humanoid, but the vines get in his way and he cannot reach it.

Elias tries to wake up and rally Meriadeth, but fails. She won't hear him.*

Blizzard suffers the effect of the poison and the strangling plants, and, after Meriadeth, he faints too, sustained standing by the same plants that are killing him.

The creature covered in foliage keeps on attacking the poor Desh, which succumbs to his claws, and goes unconscious.

[sblock=*]Verisimilitude note: as Meriadeth is now a NPC, she only has one healing surge, which she already spent.[/sblock]

No, our quest is not done. We will not die here! With a quick feint and tumble, Isdar once again slices at the strange humanoid with his dagger.

[sblock=ooc] Standard Action: Sly Flourish vs. humanoid, hits AC 12 for 9 damage
Move Action: shift to H11
Minor Action: glare threateningly at humanoid
[/sblock]

Oak re-engages the drake, one slash carving into the beast, the other missing wide.

[sblock=OOC]
Move action - shift to N7

Standard action - Twin Strike the drake.

Twin Strike: one or two targets, two attacks at +7 vs AC, 1d8 longsword damage

1d20+7;1d8;1d20+7;1d8;1d8 → [17,7] = (24)
1d20+7;1d8;1d20+7;1d8;1d8 → [6] = (6)
1d20+7;1d8;1d20+7;1d8;1d8 → [3,7] = (10)

Looks like the first swing hit and the second misses, so 14 damage, once HQ is included.

Minor action - If the drake falls, apply HQ to the humanoid.[/sblock]

"No, our quest is not done. We will not die here!" With a quick feint and tumble, Isdar once again slices at the strange humanoid with his dagger, but unfortunately misses widely.
Oak re-engages the drake, one slash carving into the beast, the other missing wide. The reptile finally falls dead spouting blood mixed with acid.

The spider is no longer slowed by the cold, and blindly follows the plant-like humanoid, showing again its swiftness, sprinting past Isdar by climbing for a few feet on the trees on the side, then jumping on the helpless Desh. The Dragonborn looks finally dead. [sblock=ooc]In case you were wondering, yes, the spider is shifting, and yes, it has a climb speed[/sblock]

Meriadeth is free from the vines thanks to an uncoscious reaction, but she's senselessly lying on the ground.[sblock=ooc]Meriadeth had made both saves las round[/sblock]

Elias fights the pain from the vines, but is finally able to free himself struggling with all his might, and recovers a bit of strenght and courage.

Blizzard, on the other hand, does not make it. The poison and the vines have been too much for his old age, and the dragonborn succumbs, his neck snapped.

The plant-like creature looks completely withered as a greenish fluid bleeds from its wounds. It looks around for a moment and steps away from Isdar, then, jumping over the dead gator's tail, it runs away, in the direction it came from.

Oak chases down the humanoid, the warforged trying to avenge its fallen comrades. Oak's blades glance of the humanoid to no effect, though.

Looks like two misses, wasting three great damage rolls. Ah, well...[/sblock]

Isdar turns his attention to the spider, hoping to finish it off before it tries to bite him.

[sblock=ooc] Standard Action: Sly Flourish vs. spider, hits AC 18 for 10 damage
Move Action: shift 1 square north, unless spider falls, in which case move to help Oak flank the humanoid.
Minor Action: try not to get grossed out by the spider.

I miss having someone to flank with. :p

The spider finally falls at Isdar's strike, spouting ichor of some sort, while the Humanoid manages to get away in the water, swimming under the surface.

Combat's over.
Meriadeth is barely conscious again.
Blizzard and Desh are dead.

[sblock=Malek and Battleram]Both of you wake up at roughly the same time. It's morning, and you can see the sun.... through the wooden bars of a cage.
As soon as you're completely back in your senses, you see that you're, indeed, prisoners. You have been shut in a roughly 10x12 feet cage in the middle of what looks like a village in a clear area surrounded by thick trees and swamps... and inhabited by lizardfolk.[/sblock]
