[FR] Undermountain modules - any good?

IMHO, the original Undermountain boxed set is one of the greatest large scale adventures of all time. You can tell all the hard work and love that Ed Greenwood put into it, because it just drips from each page.

Skullport is a nice supplement as well, but it's not an "A" level product, like the boxed set is.

The second Undermountain boxed set is not bad either, and there are some truly unique things to be found in the book, especially as far as dungeon settings go.

The other three Undermountain modules - Madgoth's Castle, the Lost Level with the dwarves and the one detailing Halaster's abduction, are all OK, but by no means necessary for the enjoyment of Undermountain.

Years ago, I ran my PCs through some of Undermountain and they STILL talk about it today. It's a great setting and a good dungeon crawl.

To the Yawning Portal!
