I did some calling around, and this is what I found in Portland, Oregon. Of the handfull that I called, I found three four establishments that will be participating this year:

HobbyTown USA
25699 SW Argyle Ave
Wilsonville, OR
503-685-7333
Opens at 10:00 a.m.

Guardian Games
302 SE 3rd Ave
Portland, OR
503-238-4000
Opens at 11:00 a.m.

Knightfall Games
9955 SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway
Beaverton, OR

Rainy Day Games
18105 SW Tualatin Valley Hwy
Beaverton, OR
503-642-4100
Opens at 10:00 a.m.

Not Participating:
Bridgetown Games
Empire Games
Gamers Guild
All other HobbyTown USA locations
Nexus Games

Most of the non-participating stores either (a) had never heard of Free RPG Day, or (b) didn't get the info in time to register. Maybe next year, the ship will be much tighter.

Compleat Games & Hobbies is the only participating store in Colorado Springs, CO.
I miss Compleat. :) I lived in Colorado Springs for six and a half years before moving to Portland. I can personally vouch for this store's knowledgeable staff and great selection...and the pizza next door (Poor Richard's) is top-notch.

I'm surprised that my friends over at Gamer's Haven aren't getting in on the action. Assuming they are still there, that is...it's been a couple of years.

Louisville Game Shop on Bardstown Road in Louisville KY is. More stores might be, but a friend of ours is buddies w/the owner and he's a nice guy, so we'll likely be going there ;)

Games Plus
101 W. Prospect Ave.
Mt. Prospect, IL 60056
Phone: 847-577-9656

They (thalmin) picked up two of the store kits but stuff goes fast there because we have a very active gaming community.

I'll be running the Paizo offering, Revenge of the Kobold King, a 5th-level Pathfinder/d20/D&D adventure. It's pretty much going to rock. :)
