Freelancer: The High Seas IC

[OoC: I stand by my action-outline posted above!

For better reference: Essan'ner uses his spot skill to look for any unusually decorated Sahuigan, which he would target as a priority target. If none such, he will shoot a member of a ballista crew.]

In the next couple of rounds...
Changlos, Farear, and Taloquar dispatch the sharks with little difficulty, but Farear is bitten once (3 damage).

The people on the ship fire, hit one sahuigan, and kill another, but by this time the boats have sped ahead of the sahuigan raider and it is turning around.

Thalia keeps up a steady, but persistent barrage, concentrating on the baillistae crew as they look like either breaking off or standing off to fire from range.

"This is either very good, or very bad," she takes a quick break from shooting to look around, behind and to the sides to see what else is happening.

I swim back to the ship with Changlos, but remain (well) beneath the surface, remaining in shark form. I will stay on patrol like this for at least an hour, in case the sahuagin return, or try some other form of attack, before wildshpaing back to human and surfacing to come aboard once more.

'Hrmph... where are those odd creatures going?'

Tycho continues to fire his crossbow at any foes still within range, hoping to hasten their retreat.

Farear takes a moment to wipe off his trident underwater before speeding after the boat. Poor creatures he thinks in a rare moment of introspection, looking at the floating bodies. The Saghuin twist them so much, just so they'll be useful. He feels the anger any elf would feel at this twisting of nature.

It passes, and he challenges Taloquar to a race.

The sahuigan seem to have fully broken off their attack and are retreating across the waves. After about an hour of sailing on the medium sail, Jean judges that it would be best to stop for a little and fix of the sail.

Taloquar shrugs (an odd expression to see on a shark) then races Farear a few loops around the ship.

Once the Captain reduces sail to make repairs, Taloquar wildshapes back to human form and climbs aboard, then heads below decks to change into dry clothes.

"Aye, 'tis a bonny day t' be in the water, lads."

Tycho hurriedly climbs down from the crows nest and approaches Jean.

'Well, they seem to be withdrawing for the time being... I hope your crew managed to escape without too many injuries.'
