Funniest Rod of Wonder story..... ever.

Man, I want to play that character... Get yourself a Diminuative Awakened Animal Cohort... add a couple of class levels in something odd like Wilder, or Lurk.

Now imagine Stuart Little casting Fireball, whilst Snowball is blasting away with Psychic Crush or something cheesy like that.

Man, I REALLY want to play that character.

I'll have to ask my DM if I can become a 1/2" tall demon. Though I must admit I do like the idea. :D

not a good idea in WLD.
teleport doesn't work there anyway.

seriously though, have the other party members carry you around (or your familiar if you have one that has a decent movement rate) - preferably someone who is not going to be the target of area effect spells. Rogues get evasion, but you'd want to check with your DM is that extends to you if carried by the rogue.

Oh - and I think the rogue in rpgmp3's podcast of WLD got shrunk by the RoW as well (but turned purple, not blue with a white hat) - so if your DM allows you to listen to that you might get some ideas as well.

You should create a tiny flying crystal fortress disguised as an ioun stone, and put it in orbit around on of the other PC's.

Whoa... that would get you very dizzy very fast, I think. ;)

On a more serious note... how can a 1/2 inch tall person communicate with the party? You'd have to be sitting in someone's ear for them to hear you, probably, and then you'd sound like you had been sucking helium for a week.

For other people, it's a shield guardian.

For you? It's a giant robot.

Definitely look into scorching ray - it's not a real giant robot without lasers.

Forget scorching ray, what he really needs is searing light (aka "Magic Laser" in my group.)

And maybe a couple of Bigby's spells to simulate rocket-powered detachable fists.

Two important things to note...

1) I am currently level 6 and I have to be level 15 before I can construct a shield guardian, unless there is some fudging on the part of the DM.

2) Though I think becoming Iron Man would be the coolest thing in the entire world, my DM doesn't seem to be too hip on the idea, and unless the people involved in this thread can convince him of otherwise, as I know he checks it fairly often, I don't think it's going to happen :( .

As an update...

I am currently planning on obtaining Wings of Flying that is a cape that can be activated for an undetermined amount of time, allowing for the ability to fly something like 40' per round with average ability.

Please continue posting ideas. :D

so, jus curious:

if he cas a fireball, its going to be a little one, or normal size?
(same question if he was bigger/taller)

Ok... So far I am most intrgued by the construction of a Shield Guardian for the purposes of getting around and casting spells out its eyeballs. That I will look into. Though I'll have to make sure that I rig up something in the head to harness myself into, otherwise when it falls over, I'm just a dice in a Yahtzee cup taking some significant damage I'm sure.

Other question... There is a post that takes the bonuses and penalties off the scale, what are peoples thoughts on that?

Finally, this is the best discussion I have ever been a part of... although I didn't expect I would be the topic of it. :D

You might also look into constructing one of the dragon constructs from the Draconomicon. They're a bit better in general than the shield guardian. If you like dragons, that is :p Alternatively to the guardian you could do a stone golem if your DM approves and you can figure out how to raise the cash (or a clay golem or something).

Wings of Flying rule(I have a level 15 fighter with black dragonhide plate and a +2 greatsword of wounding and blackdragon-skull helm...when he uses his enlarge headband and flies, people (NPCs) think he's a demon (naturally he uses the bat style wings) :D). I suggest crafting a headband or something of Enlarge Person, so you can make yourself slightly bigger without wasting a spell slot. The wings are very expensive though(54k unless you can craft them for half price + xp). Of course, so are golems and shield guardians. You might try simply crafting some sort of howdah as someone mentioned and summon creatures to carry you.

Actually you should get a riding dog. You could fit the equivilent of an entire city block on his back. A house, a combat tower, labs, a library, even a brothel if you can figure out how to staff it. And a tavern, a nice little place with a few outdoor tables covered by those little cocktail umbrellas. And remember to get a few extra of those, you don't want any dog slobber incidents. :D
