Funniest RPG typo ever?

There's a typo in the Tome of Horrors, slaad entry. It refers to Ygorl's true form as that of a "15 foot tall black salad." (Damn spellchecker)

EDIT: Totally missed Zander's listing of the black salad "error" above (and its even the first post in this thread).

Roundabout typo

In the second edition of Kult, I mistakenly took the original english text I wrote describing a monster as having "wings of glass" and translated it on the fly for the swedish book as a monster with "vingar av glass".

Which in swedish means.. "a monster with wings made of icecream". See what one lousy "s" at the end can do.

:D

Cheers!

I read this one while reading the book, since then I've contemplated creating a black salad monster. I wonder how my players would react to a description of a 15 ft tall fearsome black salad! :)

[quick hijack]
:) Actually Casey (Christofferson; Aberrations, Vamps and Liches) and I have talked about doing an entire race of salad monsters (tossed, caesar, spinach, etc.) and posting them on the NG site...perhaps for April of next year or something.

read the story in my sig. ;)

Olgar Shiverstone had a salad in our version of the Banewarrens.

well it wasn't really... but we (the players) all called it such in character. ;)

he also threw an animated Calzone against us early on.

One of the unfortunate typoes in the recent Bestiary of Krynn that Andre' and I caught but were unable to change before print was in the entry for the Forestmaster. They are apparently able to radiate an "aura of clam".

Cheers,
Cam

Another one I liked was on the 2E Chronomancer supplement which told of terrifying monters [sic]. What the heck is a monter? (I even looked inside the book to see if there was a creature called a "monter", which, of course, there wasn't. :)

"Monter" in Polish means a guy who can assemble, install or repair something (for example you can say that plumber is a kind of "monter").

So perhaps there are some terrifying monters somewhere out there...

Regards,
d.
