And as we all (should) know, you can't argue with classical mythology.

Maybe not classical mythology, but mythology in general is overflowing with lame concepts for monsters...sometimes even up to 5 flumphpowers worth.

I think sometimes they just need filler monsters, "hey we don't have any Q's make up something." I love having as many monsters as possible to choose from but just how many sentient races can rule the sea?

They could have saved alot of time and money by just making a 'Humanoid' template we could apply to anything in the MM I.

Yakfolk rock. I wish there were more cool, useful, creepy monsters, with useful scary but not overwhelmingly powerful abilities.

I'm also reminded of something Kamakazi Midget said about Demogorgon...
