Funny thing my character did in our last game

Like I said, anyone WILLING and able to do productive work doesn't stay a beggar for long. The people you mention are unwilling.

(ever see wolves interact with people?)

Yes. You should check out a special on the Sawtooth Pack. The people are essentially honorary members of that pack. It's not your typical image of a wolf, but I do think it's a more accurate one.

Wow, my little story has gotten derailed twice. First about familiars, and now about the ecology of beggars. How interesting. Glad people like the story anyway. It was pretty funny; mostly because she never lost her mead! She always had her mead the whole time. And we joked at the end that she'd pass a Zone of Truth spell "No sir, I did not kill that man." Heh.

Oh, and in my game, beggars who are actually willing and able to do something valuable don't stay beggars for long, so it's clear that you've got a pretty damn generous DM.

odd definition of "something valuable.... ;)

Taren, I don't deal with people from Peculiar! They're weird. ;)

Hah, just kidding. I live in Spring Hill (Spring Hill?, you ask?) It's 5 miles south of Olathe (or O-O-lathe, as they say on TV). Stomping ground? I do most of my shopping (as it were) at Tabletop (83rd(?) and Quivira), and I've been known to dart into Pirate Games (95th and Antioch) during my lunch hours. I find, however, that it's mostly cheaper just to stay out of game stores. I game at my friend's house in Lenexa (near 435 and 87th St. - is that still Lenexa?). We game every other weekend. We're all 30-something professionals. Two of the people in our group have doctorates. If you're looking for a group, we could probably squeeze in another. Not my place to invite just anyone, though; I'd have to ask the rest, of course.

Cool!

I used to live at the Bentley Place Apt on 95th and Quivira.

I like Tabletop games, and I have been to Pirate Games on occassion as well.

I am a professional in my mid 20's. (I am a Senior Financial Analyst for Sprint - work in Overland Park).

My job is taking way too much of my time right now, though I would love to PLAY instead of DM :)

Yak at ya laterz,

Taren Nighteyes
