G*M*S Magazine is looking to sponsor bloggers

Hello everyone,

I am looking to create a network of bloggers to create a bit more professionally-thought content than the average.

Recently I have become really fed-up and tired of seeing reviews that can be summarised as "I didn't like the game, no particular reason, and therefore the game is :):):):)". I don't like that, and I don't want to be part of that.

The network has started with the inclusion of Shortymonster.co.uk and now I'm looking for 4 people who would be prepared to write once or twice a month, either reviews or articles about RPGs, with the aim of creating well constructed and constructive material that the readers can rely on.

I am not expecting every single review to be a good one. If something negative has to be said about a game, let it be said, but let it be said tastefully and constructively.

For example, I have read reviews of games in which the reviewer labelled the games as broken and a waste of time. If the review is read carefully, it was because the games didn't live up to their expectations and therefore the game was considered to be bad. There was no detachment between the disappointment and the review, and therefore they come across totally biased against the game. Also there were no clear statement that the impressions were there because the game disappointed.

I want people who can take a step back, look at the game coldly and then write a professional, impartial and objective review. Full of opinions, but at least well formed ones rather than knee-jerk reactions.

Since my site/podcast/video channel are not commercial, I can't really afford to pay for the material. Instead I would provide, completely free of charge:

A domain name
Web space to host the blog
Email addresses
Promotion in the website and podcast

You'd be welcome to have whatever theme you like best in your site, though I'd be happy to help if you are not technically savvy.

In exchange I only want two things:

Become part of the network and maintain a high level of professionalism
Write a one or two articles a month and allow to have those articles republished in the flagship site (gmsmagazine.com)

If this is of interest or have any questions, please email me on submissions@gmsmagazine.com.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Paco.
