G4 Channel

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp All this time that I've had digital cable, and I've only now noticed that I have the G4 channel... the channel that discusses/covers/demonstrates/etc. video games 24/7!

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp For AT&T Digital Cable systems in the SF Bay Area, it's on channel 136.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp WOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!

And man, but this channel needs to fast-track new content right quick. They're so dependant upon rerunning episodes into the ground that I'm surprised that this channel hasn't crashed and burned yet. Most of the shows suck, and their promos are worse yet. Cinematech, Arena (especially the early eps. w/ Wil Wheaton, which are rerun often) Icons and G4TV.com are the best shows. The rest vary in quality quite a bit, and the forums need help in the form of some firm moderation. (More flashy crap than sane people can stand.)

*sigh*

At least they're aware of this and work diligently upon improving themselves, so I'm not writing them off. Their specials involving E3 2k2 and Tokyo Game Show 2k2 were damned good, and the block of UK video game shows are welcome additions to their TV schedule.

The sad thing is, right now there's not much else that's worth having on. Even Cartoon Network isn't worth having most of the time these days.
