Galactic threat needed (saga edition)

I am in the process of designing a heavily modified galaxy using elements from Warhammer 40k, starcraft, halo, star wars, etc and basically every other science fiction setting I can think of.

The only issue I am having is finding a massive galactic threat. I really want something like the zerg or the arachnids from starship troopers.I have seen plenty of d20 stats for the zerg but they are for 3.5 or d20 modern. I am ok with converting the stats over to saga edition, but I am not that great at the conversions just yet.

So my question is, does anyone have an idea if there is a easy conversion method from other versions of d20 to saga edition, or if anyone has seen a saga edition version of a good galactic threat already created?

Take a critter you already have stats for and tweak it, changing the appearance and habits to make it something unfamiliar and put a galactic spin on it. Let's say, take a normal swarm creature, give it a hivemind, but make it live in hyperspace, between dimensions, and make it attack ships traveling through hyperspace. All of a sudden it threatens to end interstellar trade and travel until it can be dealt with...
